Mr. Kinjo is a whale watching navigator expert who had been in touch with whales, since before it was named as whale watching. We asked Mr. Kinjo about in what he is careful for whale watching.
"I think whale watching is a territory where the humans can not enter, but the humans unnaturally enters to it. I don't think that I'm whale watching, I put first on mind that they are letting me watch, I try to have at first a whale watching prudently thinking first the whales mood. Moreover, the actual worries is about the heating boom of whale watching lately, and it's becoming a whale catching.", indeed he is an expert. A whale watching having on mind the whales feelings. This is what's important than other, isn't it. On last years, because many whale watching ships gather at the Kerama Straits, may be the whales are frightened. Mr. Kinjo is afraid about this.
"Long ago the whales use to come closer to the ship" he muttered. "For future whale watching possibilities, I'm thinking many new whale watching methods. For example, it is possible a whale watching from land, from the mountain top, having on hand binoculars."
We are working with mother nature. The rain, wind and storms are also nature rules. There are days that it's impossible for set sail. It doesn't matters. We can't fight against the nature! If I ever suffer? --- being a navigator I never but, there are a big anxiety. I hope that everybody can think together how to challenge the whale watching with plenty of time and presence of mind."
