Just remain! Whale Watching Rules From winter to spring time the humping whales migrate at warm sea areas with the purpose for mating, birth, and nursing. It is an important period for the baby whales and off course for the adult whales too. The whale is a wild animal that has a sensitive hearing. For whale watching we need to take caution not to become an obstacle for the whales behavior and not to loose the important environment. Tokashiki Village had decided its own rules for whale watching with the desire for Okinawa Sea to keep being a comfortable breeding sea area for the humping whales for ever.

1. Not to force chasing after the whales. 2. Not to obstruct the way of the whales. 3. Not to get too close to the whales. Slow down the speed before 300 meters from the ship to the whales, at least keep the distant of 50 meters. 4. When an unusual approach from the whale, be sure for the engine to be at neutral position and keep this condition. 5. It is forbidden whale watching in the water, as general rule.
